I have seen in some places where a brim on a fedora is listed at back brim width and front brim width. this doesn't quite make sense to me and am assuming that the measurements were taken with the curl in the back. I figured I would ask those more knowledgeable than I whether in a fedora there...

Indeed Oxxford makes some of the best suits to this day period. Even their new stuff is top notch partly due to the fact that they remain true to the old craft. In the world of men's suits they remain one of the absolute top brands worldwide and they are American made.
