Charlie & Boots Movie
In an upcoming Australian film called "Charlie and Boots", Paul Hogan appears to be wearing a Fed IV that has been weathered, brim cut (i'm sure to show his face better in filming) bashed as a porkpie and then pinched in front.
Any thoughts on this hat?
So here's the story. I ordered a 56cm Akubra Cattleman and it was a little loose. So when I ordered a Banjo Patterson, I thought a 55cm would be perfect. Well Goldie Locks, that first one was too large and the next one was too small. Baby bear here needs a 55.5cm so I have to stick to using...

The RBA did lower the rate by a full percentage earlier this week. There has been a very slight drop against the dollar, but not significant. Probably all the talk about US government plans to put billions of USD out has done nothing to strengthen the USD against the AUD even with the drop in...

I suspect, but have no evidence of such, that since it is Summer in Australia that they are filling some local demand for hats like the Cattleman and Snowy River.
My problem with the foam strips is that they are relatively thick, but not very wide. I used some cotton bandage material (can't seem to find a brand name). It is soft and can be cut the width of the sweatband and of any length.
I order 56s from Akubra and start with some of the bandage...
.66 to the USD
The exchange rates have been dipping back in the USD favor lately and it could get even better. Next month the Aus Fed Reserve meets and most believe they will drop the interest rates again and this will likely cause another drop in the AUD. Who knows, it may eventually sink back...
