Stefan, Great look Homburg! It's super to see another Resolut find. They were located in Köppern near Bad Homburg. Thank you for the verification regarding the "Strand" quality designation.
Stefan, Super! Yes that style was popular in the later 1950s early 1960s. A. Peschel Dinkelsbühl Soft Felt Dress Hats have become more difficult to find (their Soft Felt Trachten Hats are common). A. Peschel Dinkelsbühl made very high quality hats.

This is a recent arrival. I like that the "Mir fehlt ein Mayser Hut (I'm missing a Mayser Hat), Fabrik a /D." advertisement is on the backside of the envelop.

I so agree Chepstow about it being hard to find good hats at the moment. it's the same here for me in Denmark. If it wasn't for the wonderful Daniele Tanto, I'd be hatless

I posted this in New Hats yesterday, but really wanted to post it in this forum. I couldn't work it out yesterday. Today, Eureka! So, here's the repeat version:
Hi guys. It's been a while since I've been on the Lounge and posted something. Life keeps getting in the way plus I can't seem to work out how to post on my new phone and computer via Tapatalk. The Lounge seems to have been updated, too. Can't quite work it out. Hope it's not a sign of old age
Anyway, I thought I'd try and post a vintage Mayser hat I acquired in June. It's the first hat I've discovered and bought since buying two from Daniele Tanto in January. Hope you're well Daniele.
It's a lovely golden brown, soft felt Mayser. Here are some photos.

Another cool thing about the hat was that it had the original owners initials punched in (so typically German) along with his calling card inside the hat band. He was a book printer and publisher. Anyone have an idea of the date. I'd say 50's-60's (Maybe 60's-70's).

It's very comfortable, Karl. It has 56 on the label, but fits my 58 head. Either it's marked incorrectly, or has been stretched. Whichever, it fits very snugly.

Albert Funk Hut=Fabrik Bamberg, paper bag, probably early 1900s. I received this last week. The bag appears to have never been used.
Albert Funk Hutfabrik became Bamberger Haarhutfabrik in 1922 so the paper bag has to predate 1922.

Thanks, Steve. Ja, that was one of the things that drew me to it. I saw it from a distance at an outdoor fleamarket. I could feel immediately it was going to be a good find. Love that feeling.
