I just bought a beauty of an A2 horsehide Aero - 70 years off the back of one of our WW II fly boys!It looks really great and Andrew (the source) tells me it "turns heads" when he wears it to air shows. It's quite wearable, despite it's age, and I intend to put it to good use! Pics will come...

Back in the late 50's and early 60's, Schott a Perfecto version of the Windward jacket in black steerhide was extremely popular in NYC. I had a couple of them I bought right off some guys backs - really cool. I've been watching for vintage numbers on ebay but no luck. Never see them mentioned...
During '50s '60's, Schott made a really handsome steerhide jacket, usually black, with a gathered leather waistband. It wasn't a motorcycle jacket or a bomber jacket and and the jackets were very popular around NYC. I even so a few without a leather collar - just a small knit around the neck...
