This is the fourth jacket Mark at NorShore made, a decade or so ago.
The measurements are:
Shoulder-to-shoulder: 20 1/4"
Length, back: 24"
Sleeve, shoulder-to-cuff: 24 1/2"
Chest, front: 23"
This pic was taken right after I purchased the jacket. I've added a few pounds overr the...
I recently sold off an Aero Maxwell I thought would do forever…but, no. Too small in the shoulders, and when Celsius headed for the basement, I couldn’t wear even a light sweater under it. That has been the most persistent problem: trouble fitting the shoulders. Then, (as if you’d no idea where...
SOLD Aero FQHH Maxwell, 42, black.
I bought this jacket about one and a half years ago. There is a pic of me modeling its twin brother at Insurrection Leathers when they still had a storefront. I’ve worn it only a little (12-15 times), the chief reason is seen in the shoulder-to-shoulder pic...
The buttonholes on men's shirts are oriented vertically, all but the last one, the bottom one, which is often oriented horizontally. Why? Please and thank you.
This is the fourth jacket Mark made. I purchased directly from him.

It has taken me a couple of weeks to get some pics of this new jacket, but, here you go. No breast pocket, Californian-style buckle strap cuffs, one inside map pocket, fairly standard tartan lining; the basic Maxwell in mid-weight black HH from Aero. Insurrection, i.e., Carrie helped get the...
If so, I'd like to see some pics of it worn, please.

I almost tumbled for this one, but, the color 'cherry' put me off just enough to keep me from buying it. Really fine jacket, though.
SOLD! Antique hardware; blocked heel, ¼” lowered; single midsole, close trim standard last. These are brand new. I wore them ONCE on a two-mile walk along a local bike path. I ordered these in late December; they arrived about 10 days ago. They were everything White owners have...
30's HB, seal goatskin, Isle of Skye tartan lining. Fit is perfect; jacket is a stunner. Pics and details coming, I promise. And, oh, that new Aero smell...
Heavy, but not stiff; mid-weight steerhide. A generous size 42, would probably fit a slim 44. I bought this jacket direct from AERO. It was, according to their online description, a sales model, sent out to prospective customers in Europe to try on for fit. I’ve worn it perhaps five times in...
Last Spring, Mark, aka 'fishmeok' of Superior Flight Apparel posted some pics of an M1941 field jacket. I emailed him with an idea for ‘translating’ the jacket into leather. Over the course of the last several months, Mark and I worked out the pattern and the details for the jacket shown...
When I was a teen-ager back in the Paleozoic, the best-fitting, i.e., non-sagging t-shirts were Penny's Towncraft. Long since gone. Any thoughts on t-shirts with a close-fitting neck that don't sag like a hound's jowls after a few washes? Gibbs on NCIS has great t-shirts, by way of a reference.
More thinning of the herd underway. This is a splendid jacket, but, I wear my Star 55J14 far more often, so this one goes. Measurements are as follows:
Chest: 21.5"/54.5 cm
Shoulders: 18.5"/47 cm
Sleeves
Top of knits: 22.75"/57.5 cm
End of knits: 25.5"/65 cm
Length, back
Top of...
I've got to thin the herd a bit. First up is this jacket:
Bi-swing back; half-belt with buckle side straps; A-2 style snap pockets with slit hand-warmer pockets behind; two inside pockets (one with a zipper).
Measurements: chest--21"; shoulders--18 1/2"; sleeve (from shoulder seam to end...
I started reading about these boots last Summer. Over Christmas, I found them at Nordstrom's, $325. As a reference for fit, I tried and could not wear RW Gentleman Travelers on my shoebox-shaped foot--too narrow. But, a 10D in the 1,000 Mile boot felt immediately comfortable. These are a...
I bought this goatskin suede coat at an estate sale yesterday (no, really!).
It is very well made, quite distinctive syle. I could not pass it by. The label reads:
MEA
Militar Ekiperings AB (MEA)
Stockholm
And, the smaller label read:
Garanteras...
May 18: jacket ordered
Sept. 10: Amanda contacts me for payment info, says the jacket is about to be made, and will mail on/or about
Sept 17 or 18
Sept 28: jacket arrives
This jacket is made from a 'mid-weight' steerhide that is like nothing I've ever worn. While it has weight, 3 kg...
I purchased these fourteen years ago. They have not been worn for about seven years, sitting in my closet. I had them completely rebuilt about six months ago, with Cat's Paw soles and heels and a completely new inner sole of leather at a cost of more than $100. Sadly, the rebuild squeezed the...
