    Incidently, the jacket pictured was cut for a 25.5" back length, an inch and three quarters longer than it ended up after breaking. A standard size 38 will already be longer in the back and sides, by just over an inch, as i mentioned numerous times. I'm 30 years old BTW.

    I don't care, just want to delete my thread, take my toys and leave. It wasn't thwe advise, it was the stuffy and condescending manner in which some of them were delivered which have made me realise we'll never get along. BTW, my arms always look like they're dangling, i have a 6'4" wingspan...

    He means the graining. It's the vintage FQH, or 'mottled' if you prefer. it's tumbled and that brings up the grain a lot. Great jacket BTW, well done!

    Short Leather Jacket Length

    I wear my highwayman shorter than that, 25", and i'm 6'2", it needs to be that short in order to function properly. I don't know about your jacket but most highwayman could stand to have a few inches lopped of the bottom to fit their wearers properly. On that jacket you should be able to zip it...

    50s i'd guess. It's a fantastic jacket, if you plan to sell it i'd be very interested in buying it. The condition looks great, have you fed it with something or was it that shiny when you got it?

    These aren't mine, so i don't know how much wear they've had. They look nice though. The steerhide highwayman looks nice, i always prefer the highwayman in steerhide for some reason.

    What is this A-2 again?

    Nomex stinks though,and it's itchy and sweaty and horrible.I mean it's better than burning,but you wouldn't want to wear it as an everyday material.i'm sure there are better performing technical garments than an A-2 for those that need them.

    It needs to be nice and short for the pattern to work,so you can get the adjusters tightened at the right place,looks miles better.I had mine shortened a couple of inches and it looks so much better for it(it was a size40 long (+2" maybe) but i'm 6'2"),the pattern never seemed quite right until...

    There's a used Windward on the Aero site in cordovan,seems that the lighter red tones show through at the seams.(can't seem to post a link at the moment but it's in the 'recent used Aero' section).I have a Longshoreman on order in cordovan but i'm still in two minds as usual,maybe the jacket...
