Congrats! It's a great feeling when that jacket comes knocking at your front door. My Highwayman showed up a couple weeks ago.
Anyway, she looks gorgeous. Love it in brown fqhh!
Hey Mojo!
I'm about to give in on one of these Pacific Cycles cafe racer jackets. Can you provide some info on the jacket? What is the weight of the hide? What type of leather is it? Are they made in house? What are they lined with?
Thanks
Agreed. Just can't get past that colour - personal opinion of course. I think I'll be going black fqhh (or possibly steer) on my next one.
Thanks! I'd have to agree with you. I was a little nervous that it'd be a tad on the big side through the shoulders, but this is exactly the fit that I had...
Don't get me wrong, I never take her for granted. Jacket delivery makes for a special day though, and we've had seven years worth of lazy mornings.
@Boris
Yes it was a pretty ridiculous event, but life is all about having fun! As my fiancé pointed out, I'll remember that crazy morning...
For those who have not been following the thread, I am the recipient of Boris' old jacket. I agree that the jacket fit Boris just fine... but it was not the fit that he was after. Boris is looking for the fitted cut of a 30s HB, while I'm looking for a utility jacket that I can wear 4 seasons...
Sounds good Boris. I think the size 38 30s HB should fit perfectly considering that the size 38 Highwayman was a little bigger than you wanted.
Mine has not arrived yet. I'm hoping for tomorrow - I mean the sorting facility is only a few blocks away.
Yes. I've always loved the detail on the front of the Herc, but I am turned off by the patch pockets. This jacket looks fabulous!
lol.
Well.... let's see it!
Give us an update Boris!
I'm excited to see what you are going to do differently. Why don't you post a list of what features you are thinking of having built in to the jacket? This way forum members can give advice.
I'm glad that I could aid in the process of you finding the perfect fit. Well, I'm glad that my money could aid in the process. I am very excited to get my paws on this work of art - just in time for September in Canadian cottage country. The mix of cool enough temperatures to wear a jacket +...
40s horsehide jacket by a company called "Daniel Boone". Photos aren't great, I can take more if anyone is interested. Leather is in awesome shape - I still wear it on my bike.
