A real riding jacket here folks. And real rare. She served me well but I got too big in the shoulders working out. (Better than getting fat. ;0)
She's still available. Lots of tire kickers, but no takers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/272595771483?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Took a mixture of warm water, clear soap, and a dab of rubbing alcohol to my Red Wing 2268 (Role Clubs) and then buffed out with a horsehair brush. Let them dry in the sun.
Previous owner, or owners, must have allowed polish build up over the years, because the difference is pretty noticeable...
Most folks like the 6'' version of this service boot. But the 8'' have slightly different styling and seem to stand out a bit more. Question is, do they stand out too much? haha.
I always make up my own mind. But opinions welcome from my fellow bootheads. :)
Great made in USA boots with some nice patina here. Just clearing out my boot closet and don't wear these much.

Bought these in my engineer boot quest. I have decided to hunt down the patina of an older pair instead. But if you want some perfect new ones that are near impossible to find in the U.S. look no more.

Pretty patina. Great condition. Only selling because they are a hair small on me.

You guys and gals saw my previous threads on my U.S. made engineer quest.
Thought I had it all figured out with Chippewa 27899s that arrived in fine shape after getting a defective pair.
But on a lark, I bought some used Red Wing 2268s off Ebay. Someone had them blacked out at the heel, but I...
Hi guys. Very occasional poster but appreciator of all your info here, particularly with boots and jackets.
I ride a Harley and have been considering, and trying, U.S. made engineer boots for the last few weeks. I usually use a more technical boot for riding, but sometimes I like the look and...
Hi guys. Not much of a poster on this site. But I always enjoy checking in on occasion and learning more about high quality motorcycle gear.
I ride with a Vanson Continental Comet and an old Schott Perfecto and I learned more about them here.
I happened upon a pair of great engineer boots...
Well, actually NOS, since Vanson doesn't make this model anymore. These pictures are when it was pretty much never worn, so it's still breaking in. It's gonna look great with some patina. The jacket was built when Vanson still made them all in the USA.
What a great rider. I can be up to 80...
