    As i once met a Italian-American dealer in tradeshow, he got a few pieces without the back painting(he said those are also design samples from LVC/AERO). So it does exist, you may keep an eye on eBay. Good luck & Thanks!

    Hi Joel! i got both Schott naked cowhide and steerhide jackets. In comparison, i think the steerhide doesn't have enough 'oil' inside so after i broke-in it still doesn't look as rich/ shiny as the naked cowhide. Also for details like inner pocket, the raw edge(without finishing) doesn't look...

The situation is there’re many cheap leather goods factories in Italy and many chinese factories actually moved the entire factory with workers to Italy because they want the ‘made in Italy’ label.
