It was a 1940s Dobbs for me today as we celebrated the life of a dear friend and owner of the pub where I met my wife. Mike was the master of the Irish Goodbye. So I will only say.. till I see you again old friend. Thank you for my life. Sláinte

This one languished on my watch list for quite some time getting Passed over for other targets. The curiosity for this crushable rollable with fabric “zephyr“ sweatband Portis finally won out… and then of course that liner and ribbon! ;)
Thanks guys…. I really enjoy Mallory hats from this era. While the pre 1946 hats are primo… They were still making great hats for maybe about 15 years after the Stetson takeover.
