    USA army coat 1918

    at reenactorfest I found a excellent WWI tunic made in Ore. the best part of the coat though is the inspection stamp. The inspector has my sir name is that cool or what!!!

    how much do you spend on tailoring

    What do you spend on the basics, sleeves, sides, collar work, hems, waist jobs etc? What would the breaking point be when refurbishing a vintage suit?

    salvation army jacket

    i'll try to post a picture this week. I was at the shop next door talking costumes and the fellow said he had a 1916 salvation army coat I said I was making 1916 salvation army outfits for some curent SA women and he said he would let me have the coat for a while to copy.

    We had a great time last night. We moved martini night to my house instead of the shop. we had good food and fun drinks a member of the club had a music book from 1920 and I had a few from the 30's and we sampled old tunes on the piano. We had two guitars a strumming and a penny whistle...

    ahhh no politics

    thought I'd snuggle in here for a while and get away from all the political stuff. it is so refreshing to talk about the things that take us to a better place and time. the weather has turned cool and its time to sort through my fall and winter clothing.
