Extensions are great, but kind of a pain to diguise, when doing up-dos (rolls etc). You have to play around with them, to hide the weft track, which can end up hiding the whole streak under your hair. It won't have the same effect that the streak comming out of the part would have.
All in all...
I've been wanting to try those. WHere do you find them? I've been also wanting cotton gloves (with the UV rating) that asian women have been known to use. I know I stated this someonewhere else, but man, I wish I could find them.
You can use purple toning shampoo (used it for years) on the streak, to keep it white. The key is getting it light enough, to do so.
I agree with others, I'd try a pro. Keeping the streak seperated from the other hair (during coloring) is a pain in the butt. I was streaking my son's dyed black...
This works great. ;) It cinches in the back and zips in the front. It also has detachable garters. It flattens the stomach, while cinching, for an hour glass shape. While I wouldn't wear it every day, it is nice for those days you want to look extra-thin. I'm on my second one... For your...
I tried this and it ate my hands alive...What gives?
I've been sticking to the free and clear type stuff and they are a bit better, but my hands always look like hell. I'm just an avid hand washer with an over-active bladder...thus, my hands suffer. :(
It's the hues. Pink can be worn with cool reds (no orange or brown in it). I wear pink eyeshadows with red lips, it's my signature look.
Coral would need the opposite, something with a warm orange or brown in it. There are coral reds out there that could look nice on some skin tones. Right...
They look very natural...it's candid photos. You can see the difference between these and the magazine spread.
Of course, I think these famous people have to look somewhat good without the makeup though.
Jessica Simpson looks like some of the stoner chicks, that I knew in school.
I love plaids too. It's almost a sick obssession. I choose plaid fabrics (for home decor) to sew with and 10 million pieces of clothing, that are all plaid. It's just classic.
Dita looks good, but I think she still has on lipstain/gloss and blush.
I prefer women in madeup, but in my defense, I see it as artistic. Less ,may be more to some, but I find it boring, myself. I'm not unlike a tattoo artist. When I see a woman with little makeup, I think of the could-bes...
It's false advertizing. It almost seems like they take us (the public) for idiots.
I agree, I wouldn't be caught dead without makeup on, when heading out (well, with the exclusion of an emergency) the door. Apparently, those women can't go without either. heh :p
I saw that earlier and thought the same thing. The eyebrows on the top woman (I only slightly recognize these people) are made up. They all look like they are wearing a basic layer of foundation. [huh]
I think witch hazel is the culprit behind the redness(I love the smell of that stuff). The over-the-counter stuff has alcohol in it. I can't use anything with alcohol, on my face. It will irritate it, like no tomorrow.
Prep H is supposed to have the opposite affect. You can also try...
I guess pre 50s was conservative, with the exception of the bullet bra. When it was invented, all hell broke loose (pardon the pun). My first bra was a bullet style, from my aunt....don't ask. She didn't want it (go figure), so it became mine.
To me, having your boobs shaped like cones is more...
Well said.
I have a 14-year old son and I know I am the best mom I can be. IN recent years, on the weekends he knows I go out with his father and yes, I will wear things that are somewhat revealing at times. He may not like what I wear, I don't know...But aren't all kids embarrassed by what...
Cherry, I'm glad you posted that. I think women do can do the cleavage thing tastefully. I have victorian/edwardian (to name just a couple) dresses that show a little cleavage and they're beautiful.
Personally, when I'm out and about (working or errands) I always dress busniness. Not much on...
Oh I love that! How cute! I love the yellow, it pops! That's inspiring enough to make me sew something like it. THat's saying a lot, I don't sew much these days. I've been wanting to sew a pencil-style vinyl skirt (not exactly vintage, but it has that feel), I just haven't gotten around to it...
