    Rockabilly threads

Today while I was getting me one of the two new Brian Setzer albums I saw a red and black flannel shirt which matched to my style and it was pretty cheap so I bought it,too. At home when I tried it on I was shocked how long it is. I nearly goes down to my knees! Regards, Henrik

    Rockabilly threads

We're still preparing for our first gig next year in february or so. I'm working on some songs, but we'll mainly play covers. We'll play together with(or should I say against;) ) the punk/metal band of some good friends of us. So our main target at the moment is, to show the what the word rock...

    Rockabilly threads

Thanks Benny for this thread! Suit-wise I'm still more connected to the 30s, but my everyday style usually includes a leather jacket, a shirt, jeans and a pair of converse. I hope I can get me a special 1950s tiki shirt for christmas. BTW- Could please tell me a bit more about...

    pompadour

I not quite sure about the model, I'll just look what the local music shops offer. Sadly, a semi-accoustic one is too expensive for me at the moment, so I'm thinking of something in the direction of an inexpensive Les Paul replica. Regards, Henrik

    pompadour

I think that depends on what king of pomp you want. Generally one can say the hair needs be longer on the top than at the sides. I personally prefer my hair short at the sides and without sideburns. Elvis is a good example here, because throughout his carrier his hair became longer and longer...

    What are you wearing today??

I usually like western/rockabilly shirts, but you're right, that one needs a brave man to wear it. Now you just need a guitar to complete the look. ;) Regards, Henrik

I might be interested in one of the suits. Could you please tell me the measures of both? Regards, Henrik

    Jacket won. Dated 1943.

There you are! It's at least a half vintage suit;) The cut looks nice and I'm a big fan of multi-colour stripes! I'd also say that those grey pieces of fabric at the inside armholes identify this jacket as a high quality one. Regards, Henrik

    The DINER.

When I see all these great pictures, I really start to miss Diners here in Germany. All you see in my region are modern bars and restaurants. Regards, Henrik

Searching for a trench and a leather jacket!

@Not-Bogart13: I'd like to take your coat, too, but sadly I have pretty long arms. @carter: One should think that that's the way it is, but many things are much cheaper in the USA(including shipping!). For example Converse Chuck's, the normal ones cost about 75$ here in Germany. I just...

Searching for a trench and a leather jacket!

As the title says I need a trench coat for the rainy days and a leather jacket that holds me warm this winter. For the trench I'd prefer a single breasted one and leather jacket should be brown( no more details- I'll take everything from motorcycle to A2 style). My size is about 40 L. But...
