Canada's oldest war veteran and the world's last surviving female First World War vet.
At age 15, Gladys Powers fibbed about her age and joined the Women's Auxiliary Air Force as a barracks waitress.
She does not have fond memories of the Great War. After 109 years, she has many better ones

Thanks for this. I have told everyone for years I want to be 109 when I pass.
Not 108 and not 110 but 109. Just do for some reason. I met a 107 year old lady once and figure I can beat her. She was a card.
