Britain's oldest surviving war veteran has celebrated his 110th birthday at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne.
Mr Allingham is the last remaining founder member of the RAF and the only remaining survivor of the Battle of Jutland.

Absolutely amazing...

This chap was flying biplanes during the First World War and is still going strong!! Just imagine all the historical things he has lived through!!
Queen Victoria was on the throne when this guy was born!! The Boer War in South Africa was being fought and Cavalry meant horses, not tanks!!
He's seen the dawn of flight, the dawn of jet aviation, the dawn of an atomic age, the dawn of intercontinental rockets, the dawn of manned space flight and man setting foot on the moon, and yet, he was born in the Victorian age of Charles Dickens!!! incredible.
