This vintage leather jacket was made during the 1950s by Brent for Montgomery Wards. It is a heavy leather and, in my opinion, most likely steer hide but possibly horsehide. The leather is similar to other jackets I have owned from the 1950s that were not labeled as horsehide or steer hide. The leather is in remarkably good condition supple without any drying cracking loose stitches. The main zipper is a Scovill Gripper, pocket zipper is a 1940s / 1950s diamond pull Talon. The Jacket has a quilted lining. The lining is frayed at the hem, neck, and cuffs
