I got this DANWAY fedora quite a while back with the intention of having it sized down to a 7 1/4. From what I could find, DANWAY was a production of the Frank H. Lee Company who also produced the Marathon Line for Penny's. i decided to sell it that rather than mess with the integrity of the hat. I'm pretty sure it's a 30s era hat that surprisingly looks like it has never been worn. It still has an open crown like when I originally purchased it. I was temped to put a crease in before I put it up for sale because I think it would look fantastic. If I don't sell it I'll just have it sized down. The hat has a 2 1/8" snap down brim with raw edge and a 5 3/4" open crown which is wrapped in a 2" grosgrain ribbon. I'm not sure exactly what at the ribbon is made of but it's finer and softer more like silk. The unreeded roan leather sweatband is soft and pliable. The liner is in nice condition with the exception of a couple of smudge marks. The felt is exceptionally nice. There is no mothing or odors.
$275.00 plus shipping.
I took photos showing the brim up and snapped down.
If anyone has any knowledge about Danway hats I would like to hear from you,
