Has anyone seen the preview for this movie ? if I got the title right. Anyway I noticed Russell Crowe is wearing a hat that doesnt look like a cowboy hat. Anybody know what kind of hat it is?

I saw the movie today. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. I thought the characters were pretty shallow and hard to feel for, and it bugged me to see the one legged hero sprinting and jumping across rooftops. Lots of other little things, too.
It was a visually cool movie to watch, though.

The three hats to see are the doc's (a very tall crowned fuzzy stingy brim type deal), the sheriff's (a wide pencil curl brim gus crown) and the bounty huner's (a homburg with a neat bash).

Crowe's is a modified homburg with a porkpie crown.

Haven't seen the movie.
Any of them look promising? it was Crowes that I noticed on the trailers but didn't get a good look at.

I kinda felt the same about the characters. Other than that it was pretty good. Here's a little nugget. The hat Russell wears while under a "disguise" is a gray Akubra Snowy River. They tamed the brim and gave it a little character.

I dont remember how accurate it was, but i did enjoy Sam Elloitt
in the movie" Rough Riders " sometimes in the middle 90's.
Is there someone out there that knows more than I?
