Aero 1930's Slim Fit Half Belt Seal Goat Sized 42

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I put this up for sale, then reasonably rapidly pulled it down. In essence, the winter had just arrived and I had decided to keep it as I do love this jacket.
I've been wearing it for the last few weeks and have to be completely honest with myself - I just do not need two very similar jackets - so this one is up for grabs.

Not much to say really other than it is a superb jacket which is starting to show some beautiful patina & grain (which is not always the case with goatskin).
It has been worn & wear marks are showing on some high parts of the jacket. I would consider this 'normal' and in my mind, really adds to the character that has started to develop.

My asking price is net $700 Aussie Dollars to me, shipping extra. Given that the Aussie Dollar is at it's lowest point for quite a few years, this would roughly translate to approximately USD$525, or GBP 340.

I would also consider a trade for an Aero (or similar) Café Racer in Black with similar measurements in a similar age / condition.

The jacket was originally purchased in August 2014, so is not yet one year old. Considering that these are built to last several lifetimes, this represents a great buy.

Being a standard size 42, with added length in the body and sleeves, this should fit most people who are around or just over 6ft tall.

The jacket's approximate measurements are (taken zipped up, laying flat);
•Size; 42
•Shoulders; 19"
•Pit to pit (across the front); 23.5"
•Back (seam at base of collar to hem); 26.5"
•Arms; 26.5"

This jacket has the following options;
•Herringbone Tweed wool liner
•Inside pocket

The hardware is Nickel with Talon zippers & a diamond zip pull for the chest pocket. The pockets are lined in Moleskin for warmth and durability.

The jacket is located in Sydney, Australia & I am happy to post anywhere in the world, although postage and customs duties are the buyer’s responsibility. I will only post via a method which is tracked and requires a signature upon receipt.

I have taken the following photo's today, outside in natural sunlight. The colour balance is as close to realistic as I can get, so you can see what the jacket looks like.

If I don't have any joy here, it WILL be off to eBay - which really is not my preference. Obviously the price over there will be significantly higher to account for any fees.

Please do send me a message if you have any questions at all.

You will not be disappointed Seb. I was surprised at how wearable the liner actually is.
When I think about it, I do wear wool all year round in business suits as it does beeathe better than any other material. It's nowhere as hot as you might think.

I can also supply additional images for anyone who would like them, including images of measurements. Just let me know what's needed.

Keeping it in Oz will also make the postage quite reasonable.
Far better than $1,600+ for a new one given the current exchange rate PLUS customs etc......

Just sayin'

Come on Gents!
This is a bargain for such a beautiful jacket. I know I could hold off till it get's a little colder in the northern hemisphere, but I'd like to have this one gone now. Once sold, I will be looking for a black cafe racer style jacket, so help a brother out!!
If you do have a cafe racer in a similar size, I would be interetsed in a pssible trade.
Please, please dont make me go to the 'bay.......

Final bump, then I'll put this into storage until the northern hemisphere winter approaches.
Unfortunately if no one here takes it, it will have to head off to the 'bay....

Why wait till the winter to list it, both my cafe racer and Teamster sold to people from the USA in the last 2 months. Its free to list anyway.
Just don't put it with Or best offer, all the cheapskates come out of the woodwork and try to fleece you and just waste your time.
Its a nice jacket, someone will pay a fair amount for it, it might just take time.

Updated pic's and measurements

Hey there,

Here are some updated pic's taken this afternoon to clearly show the measurements of the jacket. I have tried to update the original post to reflect these measurements, but can no longer edit that one.

As such, here are the updated measurements;
•Size; 42
•Shoulders; 19"
•Pit to pit (across the front); 23.75"
•Back (seam at base of collar to hem); 26.25"
•Arms; 26.25"

If you have any questions, please do send me a message.

Thanks mate, I agree.
The thing is that I'm actually not in any kind of hurry. I don't want to give it away, so I am happy to wait.
If this means leaving it here on the Lounge for a fellow member to benefit from for a few weeks, then I'm happy to do so. If no interest is indicated, then it will be off to the 'bay.
I'd like to sell it, but don't actually 'need' to, so to speak.
