I think Taupe will be a nice versatile color. I have a Taupe Fawn & really like it.

Before following and learning here on the lounge I had disregarded the Akubra line of hats mistakingly assuming they were all outback Aussie style with lamp shade brims hanging down front and back. Picked up this 3 1/4” brim Bushman in Moonstone and pretty much wore it all winter.

It’s a great hat, really like it’s bluish grey color, bound brim and dimensions.

I really love my vintage hats, but I wear Akubra Camp drafts a lot! The moonstone color is so versatile. Your hat looks great, with a really nice crease!

No I don’t felt like it has shrunk or got any tighter fitting

Akubra Sundowner I picked up this past winter. Not a fan of paracord type hat band probably change it when I find the right ribbon. The felt is lighter, denser and more refined than my Bushman.

It's been 7 years, I need to Akubra again. Going to Sydney in January for a cruise. Thinking of getting a Cattleman, perhaps something else like a Traveller. Previous purchase was a Lawson in Heritage Fawn. Starting my research now.

My most recent purchase is the Wentworth in Sorrel. Greta color and great look and feel IMHO.

You caught me before I could properly introduce myself to the folks in the Lounge, but I'd like to say that I have 2 Akubra Bushmen, one in Moonstone and one in Nullarbar Tan, both bashed with a cattleman's crease.

My problem is that both colors look great and it’s hard to decide between them. You had the right idea by just getting both.

I recently bought a Camp Draft, and it was very loose when I bought it! After I bashed it, it tightened up considerably. I really recommend the silver belly Camp Draft.

The last photo in the ad shows writing on the front of the sweat band where I've seen the hat style written for other Akubra hats. I can't figure out what it says and don't know enough about these hats to identify it from the other photos.

I can't make it out. Looks like "Long--t-n" to me but that doesn't bring anything up. It's Imperial grade so if you like the style & dimensions then you know about what you would be getting.
