That is a great piece of history! The part about faking appendicitis and getting operated on for it was funny in a macabre sort of way. "I'm not ill"!!!!

Recently I came across an amazing story of an American Pilot by the name of Joel Macpherson who parachuted out of his stricken plane
and spent several incredible months with the Resistance in the South West of France. I have translated the story for my blog about the Resistance
