I caught this independent film & was intrigued. The son is played by Shane Taylor who did quite well as the Medic in Band ofBrothers.
BOMBER(2009)

At a glance, its a road trip. Elderly british parents cant make it out of the driveway for a sightseeing vacation. Their artistic & overemotional son loads them into his van & immediately tension & histrionics prevail. All the while the son (who is mid30s but acts like an angry teenager) gets outraged calls from his co-dependent girlfriend.
Somehow, despite all this negativity, the situations are more than charming & often endearing.
But the family disfunction is only one aspect.
The real reason for the roadtrip is that the 83 yr old father has a mission. He has one aerial photo & needs to locate that German village. Its the site of his first bomb run in August 7, 1943. This withdrawn, quiet man has something he needs to resolve.
The performances are wonderful.
