I found this at antique store near Boston....Does anyone know if it is better to leave it as is or should I have it blocked?

I think they sold those as women's hats. Does it have any kind of borsalino stamping in the top of the crown?

You could probably have it blocked and made into quite a nice men's hat.

Cool! What town is the store in?

I think it would be really cool to have it made into a hat.

Nice find!

I'd definitely have it blocked. If only you can decide who to have it blocked for. There's a very good custom hatter up the road a piece in Oregon. ;) :)

2 MORE BORSALLINO BLANKS FOUND...

Hello all,

I recently got a hat block form the local antique shop for a whole $35...and yesterday I got 2 more Borsallino blanks....one cola brown and one grey ($5 each)

I then decided to make a hat! The first one I tried didn't work out perfectly...but ok....It didn't have much material to work with...it's a very nice longhair type wool and almost pink in color...but not toooo pink. Anyway, I soaked that grey blank and blocked it...it was FUN working that od shaped piece of material into a hat. I am not sure when the block is from but it's got a really nice tall crown with a c crease.

That's quite a (multiple) find. The blocks were in your size, too? You are lucky!
If you get anymore and want to sell one let me know. Especially if you come across another one that looks big enough to make a 7 3/4 size with a 2 1/2" brim.
