OK I have an old 1960's Harris tweed jacket that's seen better days and it's also too small, the linings pretty shot in places so I was figuring as I love the cloth (which is in good condition) if there are and cap makers in the UK that would use the cloth from the jacket to make an 8 panel using the Harris badge inside the hat along with the lining, it's very clean just coming apart in places.any ideas guys?

I don't know of any individual makers, however 'Oliver Brown' offer a service that might be applicable. They offer a range in a limited number of tweeds but offer (at an additional cost) for a cap to be made from the full range that they offer for jackets. If they offer this service, then I would imagine they would also be able to use your fabric. The advantage is that they offer a wonderful, oversized design with a substantial overhang. It is probably the widest flat cap I have seen.

They also make 8-piece caps and traditional flat caps.

In addition, Bookster offer a cap making service. They will make jackets from either their range of cloths or cloth that you provide, so there should be no reason they couldn't offer this service for a cap.

Good luck.
