Hi ladies,

A question from my wife. She has a difficult time finding shoes. She is looking for pair of comfortable low heel (but not flat) shoes that are semi-dressy. She is partial to mary jane style, but is open. She's a 7-1/2 and does not like really pointy toes.

Thanks ladies!

I'll run these by her. She says she is open to more than just Mary Janes, really any low heel dress shoe (under 3") that is comfortable would be good.

I just went and looked through Zappos a bit and here is what I have found. Some are mary janes but some aren't,and I tried to stay vintage-y. I hope this helps your wife.

I bought a pair of these back in the fall in blue and I love them, they are comfortable.

These are dance sport shoes and are obviously comfortable.

also let your wife know that Capezio is a dance brand but their dance sport shoes are very retro looking

These "Jadore" Mary Janes from Naturalizer are cute, with a 1 1/2" heel:

I own the Naturalizer "Daybreak" - love them! They're comfy as heels go; the site says they're 2 1/4", but I think they're a little higher than that:

(I *so* want a pair of these in every color.)

If she likes the Daybreak, they have them for $39.99 at shoes.com.

Gotta hurry though, that's the last size (7.5) available, except for the size 11 in black suede. It must be nice to have such small feet.;)

This is the story of my life. :eusa_doh: I find it *very* difficult to find low-heeled, cute, dressy shoes that aren't MJ's. Why do all the cute shoes have super-high heels?

I concur. I have an extremely difficult time finding adorable shoes with heels 2.5" or less. I don't know why all these designers think we love love 3"+ heels, they're so impractical.:(

Anyway, Back to topic,I got these at Macys a few weeks ago for $35,http://www.zappos.com/product/7536574/color/4897
they're extremely comfortable and have handled going up and down my very steep driveway like a champ. They're definitely well made sandals and they go with everything!

how about www.tictactoes.com? for all the really basic styles like mary janes there's about 4 or 5 heel heights to choose from i think, and they come in every size and width and color imaginable, and are american made. i have some heels from them that are very nice and comfortable and i'm gonna buy more soon

Thanks for your help ladies! I think we were successful, she is really happy with this pair of Marilla pumps by Clark's:

Clarks is a great brand. I had a pair of Clarks sandals that lasted for five years--and was the most comfortable pair of shoes I ever owned.
