I'll use EU sizing to avoid confusion between US and UK...

The Birkett cap is spot on 58 with my hat measuring tool. The unbranded Scottish cap is bigger, spot-on 58.5.

I would have thought they'd stretch to 59, though obviously I can't guarantee this. The wool is quite lightweight, it's not a stiff, heavy tweed or anything, and there is no leather sweatband to restrain it, which I find an important factor in how far headgear will stretch. I've certainly stretched wool caps more than this.

I'm a size 57 too. My head measures dead-on 57cm, and I can wear both caps OK. I find caps like these without a leather sweatband are very forgiving over a range. 57-58 definitely, stretch to 59 probably.
