Did Ladies remove Gloves to use a Fountain Pen?

During the mid-20th Century, ladies often wore gloves indoors when dressed for Tea, or for Church, or Cocktails, or Evening.

Would etiquette require a lady to remove one or both gloves when using a fountain pen?

Would she remove one or both gloves for taking tea? For a receiving line?

Commodore,
I know I've seen ladies in old pics with either one or both gloves off. My guess would be one off to use a pen, both off for tea, and either both on, or just one off for the receiving line.

Hopefully one of our more knowledgeable fellow Loungers will stop in and give us the skinny.

Commodore,
I've also got an off-topic question for you. I hadn't seen you on the boards in a while, and there was discussion a while back and even a video regarding the demolition of a particular yacht.
Is is horribly true?
