Emblem ID help, colors , better image .......

Hello below in black and white image the man standing at right has a patch on his A-2 I have seen in this image and a few others ( can't find those) they are all from the WW2 365th Fighter Group "Hell Hawks" and this emblem is not the one usually seen ( color of that one posted also) note the differences in the two designs.
I am wondering if this may have been a "Variation" of the FG emblem, or possibly an "Unofficial" version of one of the Squadron's emblem in the Group , anyway if anyone can lend more help with this I'd appreciate it very much !!!!!

I'm hoping for positive ID and colors to it or at least a better image of it , thanks again !!!!!!
BTW, I've already tried the online 365th Group page .

The design "appears" to be a Bird with a small person riding it , but not sure of details ........ also note it is on a "shield" shaped background not a disc like the other emblem posted .
