My friend Chris Ramirez is looking for young ladies who know their vintage! He's working with a producer on a new film about the holocaust and will be some what along the lines of "Schindler's List". For those who have seen the movie "The Pianist" it's going to need to be that accurate! The hair and clothes will have a strong mid to late 1930's style because people of that part of the world didn't have the finest things in life into the 50's.

If you haven?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t seen "The Pianist" watch it! Study it and apply. Please send me head shots and photos of you're best 1930's outfits and hair style of the period to me via PM.

This is a golden opportunity to be in a period movie, hang out with people who love this era and make some good cash wile working on the historical Universal back lot in sunny California!

Thank you and I await your responses!

I nominate Lauren!!!! Send in the old avatar of you laying down as a shot.

Hey I think Dan oughta go too (although you said ladies, he'd be disqualified). He might even get to see Spielberg walking around the backlot.

Dan and Lauren have been notified and we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re just waiting to hear from them about it.

So, every Lounge Lady who has a flare for vintage and an eye for period hair styles, please apply!

Thank you.

Right! Lauren and not that your current avatar is bad, its cute but bring back the old avatar, it really does add to your posts and its classic looking, as well as neat ;) Best regards...

Damn! I wish that applied to the gents as well! That sounds like a great opportunity- ladies take up his advice! Ya don't want to miss out on something like this. AND... if you need an escort, a strapping young man to accompany you through the backlot I'll be glad to volunteer. I'd love to check that place out! lol :cheers1:

Ok, fine. Changed it.

But my hair isn't long anymore, so no glamour "pin ups" until I get new ones taken. I need to take pics for this thing anyways, so that will give me an excuse!

Ok, you know what, we could use a guy or two. I mean, we have most men already cast for this film but, send me a good head shot of you in your best 30's suit and your hair combed correctly (This has got to be SPOT ON!) and we'll see if we can use you.

Now, my question is this: WHERE ARE THE LADIES??? Don't we have any ladies of most ages? Send me head shots! This is a recruiting thread, it's serious! We're looking for women who have lots of their own clothes and can style their hair correctly.

So, please send me your photos and I'll look over them and will decide on who has it with Chris and we'll let you all know.

So, Ladies, PLEASE! Send me a PM and attach a photo or two.

Thank you.

Wild Root,
I'm assuming that since this is being shot in L.A. that only folks who live in Southern California need apply unless we can supply our own transport and living arrangements? That might have something to do with the lack of response.

Believe me, if I didn't think that were the case I'd have had my head shot up here in a New York minute!

Cheers!

No, it's not limited to people here. I posted this for mostly the lady members who have wanted a chance to be involved in a period movie.

Travel and hotel accommodations, hmmm, I'm not sure but I'll have to check on that.

I might be interested if travel and accomodations can be arranged...this would have to be before March, when I go into basic training.

Root, I'll send you a few shots via PM. I'll include a few with German uniforms, as well.

Yeah man, do it! I'll find out for ya if travel and hotel are covered. But, if not you're more then welcome to crash at my place wile we film. The pay is worth the expenses! Also, if you have any photos of you in SS stuff (I know, I hate the lightning bolts as much as any one) that would be swell to see.

I reenact Waffen-SS and thus have the uniform, all the proper gear, K98k rifle and such but Cali is a bit far for me to travel. I bet you can find some good Waffen-SS reenacting groups in the LA area if you really need extra SS men.

Root-
I'll see what I can do. The bad thing is that scheduling might be an issue- thus making this only a dream. I'm actually in the process of opening up my own photography studio, Grand Opening is Dec. 15 so I'll be pretty busy running that for the first few months. (To be more precise it is a grand re-opening. I just moved the studio into a local mall, into a spot that was once occupied by a Picture People studio that I used to work for.)

But with all that- I'm still gonna jump on the idea of it. Lemme see what I can wrangle up schedule-wise. Any idea how long shooting would take for those selected??
