You are admiring an ELC Cable Raincoat goatskin A-2 flight jacket. This jacket is very rare, is no longer made and VERY hard to come by. It's in excellent condition with some minor fraying of the waist knits at the bottom of the knit in the rear but it cannot be seen while being worn. Many experts believe this to be the most accurate and best reproduction jacket ever made by ELC. This jacket retailed for well over $1000.

It's tagged as a 40 but check the measurements. Measurements are as follows:

Chest: 21 inches
Front: 21.25 inches
Back: 23.5 inches
Sleeve: 23 inches
Shoulders: 18 inches

From John Chapman's A-2 CD:

Eastman has created a copy of Cable Raincoat's A-2 jacket. The jacket is made with russet goatskin and has many of the details Cable is known for. The overall look of the jacket is one of the best Eastman has yet made. One detail that's interesting is that the jacket is more like the 10008 contract Cable had, which was made with goatskin, than the later contract, which had slightly different details of design and was made with horsehide.

From History Preservation Associates web site:

This is the very last USAAF A-2 Summer Flying Jacket copy of Cable Raincoat Co. Contract 23382 produced by Eastman Leather Clothing in their gorgeous Havana Brown Goatskin. All A-2's of this contract are now being produced in horsehide and are outfitted with spot-on copies of the super-rare Kwik zippers, so for fans of the older version of this fabulous A-2 contract, here's the last chance to own a NEW unworn example made in goatskin (some Cable A-2's were originally made of goatskin during WWII) and outfitted with the last of our reproduction 1942 nickel-plated Talon zippers. No A-2's of this contract can be ordered in goatskin any longer and none are available at any other sales facility in the world!

Asking $500 plus shipping. You'll pay exact shipping by USPS Priority so if someone is interested, I'll calculate the cost.
