Family Vignette

I thought it would be fun to create a Family Vignette in the reading area of my Man Room. The objects and pictures are from my grandfather, father, and uncle. My father and grandfather were bodyguards for politicians in Chicago in the '40s and '50s so they have some interesting memorabilia.

The sword is my grandfather's from when he was in the Knights of Columbus.

I made a collage of a few of my dad's pictures. The B&W ones are from WWII.

The revolver (de-activated) is like the one my grandfather carried. His was stolen shortly before he died.

Shortly after I bought it, there was an article about the type in The American Rifleman so I made a display out of it.

I like sitting there reading with some family history beside me. It is also a great place to start the morning with coffee.
