Fedora Serial Number?

I recently purchased a "Knox" Fedora. On the inside leather band is the "Knox" stamp and opposite it there is a "Browns High Grade Hats - Cleveland" stamp. What I'm really curious about is that underneath the leather band there is a paper tag which reads "K 23245 5233." Is this a serial number of some sort? Can anyone tell from this description how old this hat might be?

Block

I don't know about the age, but that number is
probably the internal number for the block or style
of the hat. I don't know much about Knox hats, but
in general those tags under the leather sweat band
tend to be for reorder purposes.
