But according to Hollywood folklore, a screen test report on Astaire for RKO Radio Pictures, now lost along with the test, is reported to have read: "Can't sing. Can't act. Balding. Can dance a little." So false Hapiyly for us, he have become the greatest dancer of the world.

It's practically de rigeur for Hollywood Legends to have had awful first screen tests. Many of them took years to finally get their big breaks, and not just in films - Elvis Presley was famously told to stick to driving a truck and give up music!
