Hello!

As someone mentioned in a forum thread, purchased this jacket without paying close attention to the measurements and now I look like a 6 year old wearing Santa's jacket. Now, normally I wouldn't mind dressing like prehistoric man wearing mammoth fur but I've got no plans to hunt the great Alaskan wilderness this winter and so I'd like to try and find this jacket the right home.

It's a perfecto style jacket that doesn't have a tag or a liner. That said, it's one of the nicest jackets I've come across and if I could grow, or shrink the jacket, I'd keep it. The patina is amazing and the overall shape of the leather is really nice. The previous owner believed it was a Horsehide jacket but I tend to believe it's Steerhide. The jacket weighs 8.5 pounds and trust me, you feel every one of those pounds. Though it is well broken in, the leather is really durable and thick. The belt is functional and works well. One sleeve has broken pull but works and all other (YKK) zippers work fine, snaps work fine, as well.

From the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of the sleeve cuff - 26"
From the pit seam to the bottom of the sleeve cuff - 19"
Pit to Pit - 23"
Waist - 46"

I'm not looking to try and make money off this jacket otherwise I'd dump it up on Ebay and go crazy. I'd just like to find this jacket a good home with someone that will appreciate and take care of it and so I am offering it for what I paid, $300. Will ship, we can find the right shipping option to keep the cost reasonable.

I am also open to trades, would need to be in my size range which, depending on jacket can range between 36 and 42. Mostly 38/40 seems to fit best.

Take care,

KS

Okay, here are the updated measurements as of this morning, please let me know if there are any other questions:

From the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of the cuff - 26"
From the pit seam to the bottom of the cuff - 19"
Pit to Pit - 23"
Waist - 46"

I assume the jacket is a 46 given the waist. Which would make sense because I am more a 36-40, depending on jacket.

I am also open to trades, just let me know what you've got.

Pm me, I've got a vintage horsehide jacket I bought on ebay from an Aussie seller. He said size 42, and it's not even close. I estimate it to be from the 30's-40's, American made, sport coat length, action back, brown. You interested?
