First, let me say that I've been a member of the FL for several years and appreciate reading the posts and learning about fedoras. This is my first classified post, so from that standpoint I guess I'm a newbie. Sorry if I make any posting etiquette errors. I wear a fedora to work every day and have for years. Some are pretty moderate grade (Schumann and Sullivan, Pendleton, etc.) while others are better. Among my favorites are my Cavanaugh and my old Royal Stetson. Now, about this post.
I was fortunate to have a friend whose father had these three hats in her estate. They are identical models and are in absolutely superb condition. They are all size 7 (wish they were 7 3/8 - I would be keeping them!). All are marked on the band as the Imperial, Ultimate Finish and have the Bernie Utz store logo (those from Seattle will recognize this as the preeminate hattery in the pacific northwest). The white silk linings have no stains or discernable wear. The colors in the pictures are pretty close although the cream may show as a little whiter than it is. All have the same woven ribbon, feather and key club pin. The brims are 2". They have been stored for some time. The gray appears as new. The brown and cream might benefit from a light cleaning, although they're all in much better condition than anything I wear! I hope the photos show how pristine they are:
I read the rules for posting and I know that I'm supposed to put a price on these for the classified forum. I wish I knew what price would be fair. There are two of the same hats on the bay that are old stock and are listed at $100 and $113. So, with some trepidation, and hoping not to be too far out of bounds, I'm going to set the price at $75/hat or $190 for all three, plus shipping costs. If that's too low, feel free to let me know. I'm open to offers or possibly trades (7 3/8, grosgrain, 2 1/2" brim Cavanaugh, etc.).
Thanks!
