I am bumping this. You can add Selentino to the list. I am selecting hats that have repeatedly been cited as having superior felt. Higher-end Biltmores have also been lauded, but I cannot get my arms around their styles...

I've felt Selentino, Puerto Fino, and Lagomarsino before, all at South Street Hats down by 8th and South next to Greene Street Consignment. Oscar is a great guy. I just wasn't that impressed with the hats. For the same price, you can get an Akubra. I know, I know -- everyone says that. But it's true, I promise. If you're buying new and you're not buying custom (i.e. - me), you should be buying Akubra. It's the best way for your money.
