hat at commencement

Greetings.
I plan on wearing a fedora to an outdoor commencement.
Can anyone offer suggestions on hat etiquette?

Still does here in Tennessee, or at least they did all three at my nieces high school graduation last year...and in the school gym! Regards! Michaelson
