Art made me a new hat for Christmas and I've been trying to think of a name for it but every name I come up with sound dorky.
The hat is Hickory/Pecan 5 3/4 opened crown with a diamond crease.
The brim is dimensionally cut 2 3/8 front and back and 2 1/4 on the sides.
The 1 1/2 ribbon is called Lightside it's a 16 ligne dustyrose.

OK two questions that might help everyone come up with a name that suits both the hat and you:

1) What sort of thing do you plan to wear your hat to? Is it going to be for best, or a hat you wear a lot.

2) What's it like where you live? What's the climate like? Town or boonies?

1- I plan on wearing it a lot, but not when I'm working in the yard.lol
I've got quite a few e-bay hats for rough wear.
2- I live in a suburb of Sacramento, Ca.

Hmm OK. I will...put my thinking hat on.

I'm sorry. That was pathetic. But I will dedicate part of my brain to this task.

Belvedere?

My 1st car in 1977 was a 63 Plymouth Belvedere, it threw a rod less then a month after I bought it and I abandoned it. Not a name I remember fondly.lol

Maybe after I get a bunch of name I'll post a poll?

Was there any significance in your picking the color, style of it?
How about "patience"?:D since you waited so long to open it!

I wanted less brim then my Hoosier, Fed and my Artlite so I went with 2 3/8 dimensional 2 1/4 on the side.
I like brown and the Hoosier Chocolate so the Hickory/Pecan seems like a color that can go with a lot of things.
I like non traditional ribbon treatment which is why I like Art's work so much. I told him I was looking for something with some good contrast like on the Hoosier.
I liked the diamond crease on the Artlite so I chose it, besides a lot of my other hats have center creases.
Bob.

Looks like putting all that together turned out to be a "Capital Idea!"

OK, maybe a capital idea, but perhaps that's not the best name for a hat. I blame it on the Nyquil. :p

If you had ordered a porkpie from Art the name would be obvious, "Pecan Pie". :p Okay, I'll just crawl back under my rock and keep quiet...:eusa_doh:
