Good afternoon all,
I was wondering if anyone knows what the WW2 RN Officers "China whites" uniform, under the rank of Commander looked like? I can find loads on the rank of Commander and above but nothing on the ranks below Commander.
Commander and above wore the long sleeved, high necked white tunic.
I have been told that below the rank of Commander they wore a white bush jacket, white trousers/shorts, white long socks with shorts, and white leather shoes.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct as I can find no info on it, only on the Commanders whites!
Thanks

Hi TPB166
Thanks for this I have seen this picture it is from WW2 its of Admiral Pridham-Wippell, centre, aboard HM Submarine Torbay in Alexandria Harbour, May 1942. Torbay's Captain, Anthony Miers, is at right, and a young Lieutenant is on the left, both wearing just the white shirt, and Admiral Pridham-Wippel wearing the long sleeved, high necked white tunic.
Thanks
