Law and Order of Fedoras

I don't usually catch the L&O shows, but my wife is a big fan. I happened to catch bits of a couple and noticed that the character of McCoy the prosecutor was wearing a fine fedora. The same happened with a new spinoff Conviction(?) with a character in a fedora. Any idea what they are wearing? My wife notes that the fact I only notice the fedoras may be the signs of an "obsession"

I love the "Law & Order" franchise. McCoy wears an olive colored fedora with a Barbour. He just started doing so. He wears it well.

The Assistant DA on "Criminal Intent" wear several hats and some look vintage.

Also, the Munch on "SVU" wears a black fedora.

It's a good hat show.

Obsession

I don't watch the shows either, but my wife would concur with the obsession diagnosis if I made the same observation.

Another great show that used to croos-over from Law and Order had some who fedoras' Homicide Life on the Street, had a character Frank Pembalton that mostly wore one. Munch from SVU started his character on that show, although I never saw him wear a hat.
