This happened a few days ago; I just found out today. I'm currently reading her book "A Severed Wasp." Anyway, I thought I'd share the news with you. You'd be most likely to recognize her as the author of "A Wrinkle in Time," a children's book. Here a link to the New York Times obituary.

I was sorry to hear this, I've always enjoyed her essays. You know, I've owned "A Wrinkle in Time" for years and I've never read it; for one reason or another it keeps getting knocked down on my reading queue. It'll be my next book.

Very sad. I still have the copy of Wrinkle in Time that my 3rd grade teacher presented to me inscribed by her "Reading Excellence Award." Meg, Cal, Sport, all of them. The weird three witch women. The two dimensional planet. The tesseract. Forcing oneself to love. Brilliant stuff.

I tried hard to tesser many times and it never worked.
