Mayser "Gold" fur felt fedora.

HELP! Considering buyin this hat. No info available. Teardrop C crown. 2 and 1/4 in welted brim. List price $175. On sale $125. Info and opinions please. Hat also comes in Burgundy. THANKS!

I don't have any current Mayser catalogs so no additional information. I would check to see if it has a leather sweatband and liner. Mayser moved production from Germany to Slovakia in 2011. The quality is still ok but they are not offering many higher end hats (with leather sweats and liners) in their general catalog anymore (the City model has a liner and leather sweatband see below) so I would confirm. This is a fur felt with a modern form (short tapered crown and machine formed) so it should be fairly durable. If you end up getting it please post it in the German - Austrian thread.
