Miss Marple

So, who is a Miss Marple fan?

I have only recently started watching Miss Marple, mainly because of the 50s clothes and home decor rather than the whodunnit aspect of the show. I love all the clothes they wear, and all the decor is fab!

Yup.

Since I canceled the satellite last summer we watch Masterpiece Theater every Sunday. It's Poirot, Marple, or Morse nearly every week. Wonderful stuff.

She's Agatha Christie's greatest creation. BBC has tried a couple of Miss Marples since the death of Joan Hickson, but for my money she will always be THE definitive Miss M. Agatha Christie herself said she thought Hickson should play the part.
Margaret Rutherford did a few Miss Marple flicks in the early 60's, but her version was turned into a buffoon of a character. The real Miss Marple is a wonderfully subtle and thoughful woman.
