New member ... in search of the elusive vintage cowboy hat!

Howdy everyone. Very interested in finding sources for vintage stetson's, era headwear for Texas Lawmen, 1919-1939. Great site.

Ebay. There's a 30s cowboy hat right now in 7 1/8 that I can't spend money for, 15 minutes left on the auction. Type in, for example, Stetson and your size like this:

Stetson 7 1/8 (that's 7 space 1/8) and all the results pop up. By far most hats for sale there are contemporary, or less than 20 years old anyway, so you have to look at the whole results list and do it daily in order to track the vintage ones. And some sellers are probably clueless about real age, claiming a lot of age when it isn't really there. Anyway that's your best bet so far as I know.

I keep an ebay search up with "vtg stetson 5/8". This catches some but few 6 5/8 & all the 7 5/8 in my size. I also watch 1 size up & 1 size down...HTH
