PSA: Sources for Synthetic Fur Collars

In looking to add a synthetic fur collar to a jacket, I've unearthed two online sources at reasonable prices:

The first is definitely a Combloc-era surplus item, generously sized from what I can see. The parka it is attached to is the distinctive pre-unification East German “raindrops” camo pattern, so it appears we’re talking about a German piece of kit. That means the quality is probably decent.

The second is surplus as well, apparently from Hungary. It’s actually a full cotton quilted liner with integral synthetic fur collar built-in. I bought three of these for a whopping $20, and found the size large liners run a bit snug for size, and definitely short in the sleeves. But even if you can't use the whole liner, the collar may solve your problem.

The “fur” in this latter item will never be mistaken for real mouton, but it’s not trying to fake it either—the pile is a neutral gray, and looks like what it is: a utilitarian neck warming device for military men planning on spending weeks patrolling Baltic forests.

Sorry, you'll need to click the links for photos. The VBulletin tutorial on adding images bears scant resemblance to the current board functionality, and after 20 minutes of fruitless experimentation, I'm taking the hint.
