Cattus, your pugs are masterpieces. I got my set of pugs in the mail yesterday, 3 of them, but they are meant to go once around and then be hooked into themselves. To do the great job you have done, I'll need to get lots more material and start over. I love the look of those pugs you have done, and will have to give some thought on how to make those work.

The 7 fold pug did take a lot of ribbon. I wound it around the hat, loosely, 7 times then added a few extra inches just to work with. I used pins to hold the start point in place along with the initial folds because I don't have 3 hands. The side pieces ran high on the side of the crown (probably 2 inches) and then dipped in the front and back. The end tail I tucked under the side and trimmed so it wouldn't show.
