A game I tried to play with friends was to take modern movie you like and try to imagine what it would be like in the Golden Age. For example:

"Big Trouble in Little China" as a serial. Warren Hull plays an ex-Flying Tiger turned truck driver, Jack Burton, who helps his friend, Wang Chi (Keye Luke) fight a 2,000 Chinese mystic (a good role for all sorts of caucasian actors) and the powerful Storms (Philson and Philip Ahn) while Gracie Law (Carol Hughes) gets in the middle. Chapter three: The Claws of the Mandarin ends with Jack Burton tied to a wheelchair pushed down a slope into a pit. Chapter four opens with him breaking the bonds on his arms, the wheels getting stuck at the mouth of the pit and him pulling himself back up.

"Highlander" becomes the Warner Brothers film "The Immortal Enemy". Errol Flynn is Connor MacLeod/Russell Nash, Ann Sheriden is reporter Brenda Wyatt, Basil Rathbone is Ramirez and Victor Mature is The Kurgan/ Kruger.
