Although there was a small highlight: the Dodge Challenger as seen at the beginning (I know, not from the golden era, but still a great car )

 

[Doctor Strange]

I am slightly optimistic about this one: everything I've read indicates that they're remaining true to GL's science fiction orientation, and I think Ryan Reynolds is a good choice: he can play the intense integrity and heroisim of Hal Jordan, but remain appealing rather than coming off as stiff.

Frankly, re next year's superhero films, I'm a lot more worried about Thor being botched: its fantasy elements are harder to integerate into a realistic superhero approach than the SF elements more commonly used with superheroes.
