Just for fun. What is the most expensive hat you've ever seen, whether it be a crazy pricey modern hat, or something somebody foolishly paid the price of a car for on the good 'ole Fleabay? Let the madness begin...

(And as always, my statement to our friendly Bartenders; if this thread is a no-no, go ahead and do what you need to do.)

Adding the proviso "in person", I've seen the $20k panama at Optimo.

If you're allowing for web viewing, someone posted an article on what I think was a $100k Brent Black about a year ago.

Nothing in felt comes close to the panamas for price, unless it's got one of those fancy diamond covered, platinum buckled belts around it. In terms of felt, the most expensive thing I've seen in person is probably just a regular old Optimo or a Gary White, whichever is priced higher these days.

There are also all sorts of bejeweled women's hats and, yes, even baseball caps.

I saw these in London a while back

and these in Russia.
