Thrift store find, "Valentino"?

I was digging around the local thriftstore the other day and found a really nice hat, just my size and everything, by a maker I did not know of, nor have been able to find any information about since. With a slight reshaping of the brim and restitching of the ribbon (so it doesn't deform at the stitches) it should be ready for wear, and with a cost of just about $10 I took a chance.

So, now, does anyone have any information about this hat/maker "Valentino"? I suspect it's European at least, possibly German or that general region considering the crest. It's probably not all that old, I'd wager from the condition that it was made within the last 10 to possibly 20 years, but I could be wrong.

Here are some pictures:

MrPumpernickel, Looks like you've got yourself quite a find! When it looks good, fits right, and it's dirt cheap... that's the stuff our dreams are made of. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

It is indeed my cup of joe, I'm totally into black hats. Thanks guys.

Though, no one here, with this vast hat knowledge base, knows about the hat maker Valentino?

Valentino...

When you say that name, I think of silent screen lovers in bedouin tents, not hats. So sorry, I haven't heard of them as a hat maker, only a great 'Golden Age' lover.
